ShutterSmart Pro ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Who we are
ShutterSmart Pro is a software service for UK shutter and blind installers. Our registered contact address is hello@shuttersmart.pro.
What data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
- Business data: company name, phone number, address
- Customer data: names, addresses, contact details and survey notes you add for your own customers
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, browser type and IP address
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the ShutterSmart Pro service
- To send you transactional emails (quote confirmations, password resets)
- To process your subscription payment via Stripe
- To respond to support requests
- To send product update emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
Your customer data
The customer records you create in ShutterSmart Pro belong to you. We act as a data processor on your behalf. We do not access, sell or share your customer data with any third party.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU). All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled by row-level security — your data is only ever accessible to your own account.

Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. You can export all your data from within the app, or contact us at hello@shuttersmart.pro to request deletion.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.
